S&P Global: Global Solar Installations to See 27% Growth in 2024 as Energy Transitions Accelerate in the Global South
Holly Hu, Principal Analyst at S&P Global, delivered a keynote address on the evolving global solar market demand. She highlighted that global solar module installations are expected to grow by 27% in 2024, with continued market expansion projected at a 7% growth rate in 2025.
The ongoing decline in system costs will further unlock demand, particularly benefiting countries in the Global South. Addressing energy poverty, these nations are likely to adopt more proactive policies and development strategies in renewable energy, accelerating their energy transition efforts.
